Past Summer Adventures!

Exactly one year ago yesterday, my friends and I had a pretty funny summer adventure :) I decided to post some (ok, a lot) of what I wrote in my journal. . .

"On July 5 (tuesday) I went to summer seminary at the high school which was taught that week by Brother Anderson. He kind of went all over but the lesson was so good - he taught about Gideon in the Bible, the Atonement, and how when I do what my Heavenly Father says, He will deliver me (the power of deliverance). He also talked about how Satan is jealous of me because I have a body: I can love, I can create, and I can have a family. It was a really inspiring lesson and Brother Anderson is a super good teacher (refer to my seminary journal for all of my other notes).
After that great lesson, Brayden McClelland, Clayton Young, Ty Young, Brandon Squires, Jamie Lee, Ashlyn Hatch, Angi Vawdrey, and I all went and did baptisms for the dead. It has been a tradition that we have tried to start this summer and it has been so much fun. When we all sat down in the confirmation room, it was so neat to look around and see so many of my friends who I have gotten so close to, and to know that we were all temple worthy and that they all wanted to be there on a summer morning. I love those people! :)
Once we finished doing baptisms we all went out on the grounds and just talked for about an hour. We walked around the temple, joked around (quietly) and just had lots of fun. We kept wanting to do something, but always just ended up standing there. It was just really fun to be there with them.
Soon Jamie had to go home and Brayden then had to leave, which meant that Clayton needed to drive him home, so those three and Ty left. The rest of us still really wanted to do something, so we went back to the high school and then all decided to go to Del Taco (random I know, but it was relatively inexpensive and sounded somewhat good).
Once we decided what we were doing, I texted Clayton, so him and Ty met us there after a little while. Brandon, Ashlyn, Angi, and I all went to the restaurant and ordered food and attempted to eat, but we all ended up laughing so hard that it didn’t really work. Ashlyn particularly kept randomly laughing because she would remember a funny story, and then she would tell it to us and we would all just crack up.
We also each happened to miss the food into our mouths - lettuce somehow got out of mine, stuff fell out of Angi’s, Ashlyn lost a little, and Brandon somehow got lettuce up his nose (yeah, we were obviously laughing so hard!). Then we saw some cheese on the wall behind us which started us all off again - my abs got an excellent workout.
We also all tried the lemons and Ashlyn’s was particularly sour so her face got really funny. Mine and Ang’s weren’t too bad though, I mean, it was sour but nothing terrible. Clayton and Ty happened to walk in right when we were all about to die of laughter (most of us were done with our food too). We had Clayton eat a lemon - he stuck it all in his mouth and was totally fine for like 3 seconds and then he shot up in his seat and his face went so funny!!! It was a funny funny day :)
Sadly, I had to leave, and what was worse, I had to go to the dentist! What a lame end to a really good morning.  I ran home and changed in like 3 minutes (which is pretty good seeing as I was still in my temple clothes) and drove over to the dentist with Reese. I was texting Ang a bit right before I went back and she said something like “you know what, I really feel like playing with the Legos right now” (little bit of back story: we somehow discovered that Jamie, Angi, and I all have the same dentist. Angi was referring to the Legos in the waiting area).
I didn’t think much of it, but as I was laying in the dentist chair I was thinking “that would be so funny if they came and visited me at the dentist! wait....not really, it would probably be a little weird.” But what do you know, after the girl had finished brushing and flossing and everything, I sat up to wait for Dr. Blackhurst. I looked out the window and what did I see? Angi’s head running right past! haha I just started laughing as Clayton, Ty, Brandon, Angi, and Ashlyn all lined up outside of my dentist window :)
They watched as Dr. Blackhurst finished the check up (all of the dental hygienists were just laughing too, they thought that it was pretty great to have an audience) and then I went outside to join them. We were all just laughing, it was so weird to be at the dentist with all of my friends!
My Mom let me drive home with them, which turned out to be quite the adventure. They had crammed everyone into Brandon’s 3-seater stick shift truck - yeah, definitely an adventure! I ended up right next to Brandon since I was in jeans and he could shift between my legs, then Ang was next to me with Ashlyn on the outside. Clayton and Ty laid down in the back, but Ty is so tall he kind of had to squish! Angi had to keep her head at my knees and I had to keep my feet off of the gas and scoot so that Brandon could shift.
To make things even funnier, Brandon got a call from a girl who asked him on a date while all of us were squeezed in there with him! We tried to be quiet but of course we were all laughing way to hard so it didn’t really work. While we were driving we ended up with an ambulance right behind us - we all sort of freaked out and made Brandon pull over pretty quick since we were not exactly on the super legal side :) It was an adventurous ride home and I had tons of fun :)

. . . Anyway, it was a pretty fun day, and I enjoy remembering some of the funny things my friends and I did last year - hopefully we'll keep up the crazy adventures this summer as well!
